Woobie Blanket 2.0

The original U.S. military poncho liner, nicknamed the "woobie," has been one of the most genuinely beloved pieces of field gear since it was introduced to US troops in Vietnam. It replaced a heavy wool blanket that was useless in Vietnam's humidity, and soldiers got so attached to theirs that many still pay a field-loss fee rather than turn them back in decades later.

This 2.0 version keeps that same basic idea, a lightweight insulated liner, and updates it for actual daily use: a water-repellent shell and a full-length zipper that turns it from a flat blanket into a functional sleep system component in seconds.

Construction is 100% ripstop nylon with a DWR coating on the shell and 100% polyester insulation inside, giving you real warmth without much weight or bulk. It packs down small enough to live in a pack for backpacking trips, sits just as easily at a campfire, and comes with a stuff sack for the same convenient packability that made the original such a favorite in the field.
